Vijay Eswaran: Taking a Look at QNet’s Founder

Born in Malaysia in 1960, Vijay Eswaran is one of the major forces shaping the future of business in East Asia. His motivational speech entitled “Finding Your Purpose” brought inspiration to thousands of young professionals who are looking to emulate his success. He’s the chairman of the University Council of Quest International University as well as founder and CEO of the Q Group. Eswaran is also the author of six books on business and motivation. His most recent missive is 2016’s “Two Minutes from the Abyss: 11 Pillars of Life Management”. It’s a humorous book filled with personal anecdotes that urges readers to overcome fear and embrace life.

It’s rare in a world dominated by greedy corporations and crony capitalism to find a leader who doesn’t feel that success and compassion are mutually exclusive. His charitable foundations work with local and international agencies to promote community development and well-being, guaranty education for special needs children, and empower women. Dr. Eswaran strives to lead by example. He has a truly 21st century vision for addressing the ills that face society and keep the most vulnerable among us from fulfilling their mission.

In addition to his motivational approach to life, business savvy, and a commitment to inspiring others to live their dreams, Vijay Eswaran has received recognition by peers and international organizations alike. Among his many awards are the ASEAN Business Advisory Council and Lifetime Achievement Award for Global Entrepreneurship in 2016 and another Lifetime Achievement Award in Regional Philanthropy during the 3rd Chinese World Economic Forum. In 2016, Eswaran was also conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Economics and Global Business by Pannasastra University in Cambodia. As if that wasn’t enough distinction, he established both the RYTHM and Vijayaratnam Foundations. Most recently, he made the Forbes Asia’s list of Heroes of Philanthropy.
